RDSDE organizes awareness camp for implementation of Apprenticeship Act

JAMMU, Dec 14: An awareness programme on the implementation of Apprenticeship Act 1961, Ministry of Skill Development, Govt of India for the Industrial Sector of J&K was conducted by Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Jammu in collaboration with Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA).
Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA, Vinit Kumar Saksena, ISDS, Deputy Director, (RDSDE), Jammu, Rajesh Kumar ISDS, Assistant Director, (RDSDE), Jammu, Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA and Members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association were present on the occasion.
While welcoming the officials of the Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Jammu & Members of Industrial Fraternity, Lalit Mahajan, Chairperson, Bari Brahmana Industries Association Industrial Cluster & President, BBIA, in his presidential remarks appreciated the steps taken by Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Jammu for conducting such Seminar to educate the Industrial Sector in respect of various schemes available under Apprenticeship Act 1961. Further, Lalit Mahajan also highlighted the various benefits for the Industrial Units available as per the provisions of the Act and also informed that it is mandatory for the Units having 30 or more Employees to register the unit on the Portal https://apprenticeshipindia.org/establishment-registration and provide the training under the Act on the basis of application received from the candidates.
Lalit Mahajan also requested the Members to appoint maximum numbers of Apprentices in their units which will give an opportunity for the Local unemployed youths to work in the Industrial Sector.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinit Kumar Saksena, ISDS, Deputy Director, Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Jammu appreciated the steps taken by the BBIA to educate the Industrial Fraternity & requested the unit holders to register their unit on Portal https://apprenticeshipindia.org/ establishment-registration & contact the Regional Directorate of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (RDSDE), Jammu in case of any query.
A power point representation was given by Rajesh Kumar ISDS, Assistant Director, (RDSDE), Jammu in respect of awareness about Apprenticeship Scheme and registration on portal like Establishment Registration and Contract Generation was also given during the seminar.
