| Government Degree College, Chenani celebrates National Energy Conservation Day | | |

JAMMU, Dec 14: Government Degree College, Chenani organized an awareness programme and intra-college quiz competition under the aegis of its Science club, IQAC and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on National Energy Conservation Day with an aim to focus on making people aware of global warming and climate change and promote efforts towards saving energy resources.
Dr. Mohammad Yousuf, Lecturer, Environment Science delivered a motivational lecture and highlighted that conserving energy is an important way to reduce strain on the environment and bring down the electricity expenses. He highlighted that energy conservation is the decision and making practice of using less energy.
The students participated with full enthusiasm and zeal and the team named PATNITOP emerged winner in the competition. The competition was judged by Dr. Nahila Sujad, Lecturer Zoology. The winning team comprised of Bhupinder, Simran, Tania and Sakshi. Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College congratulated the students and the staff on the occasion and exhorted that less use of energy by ignoring excessive and inefficient consumption is the call of the day and that it should be ingrained in every human being’s behavior. |
