JAMMU, Dec 14: Department of Environmental Sciences and Eco Club, Govt SPMR College of Commerce, Cluster University of Jammu organized an Inter-College poster making competition under the guidance of Prof. Ranjeet Singh Jamwal, Principal SPMR Commerce College.
The event was organized in order to celebrate National Energy Conservation Day which is celebrated on December 14 every year. The event comprised of inviting posters on the theme “Save Energy Save Earth”. Students from various colleges participated in the event. A total of 45 posters were received. All the posters were put for judgment. The panel of Judges included Prof. Archana Koul, Head Department of English and Prof. Deepshikha Sharma, Convener, Cultural Committee.
First position was bagged by Kirtika, second by Shailendri Puri, and third position was shared by Janshi and Sarthak Sharma. All the participants were given certificates for their active and efficient participation. The event gave an insight into the various ways of energy conservation as beautifully highlighted by the participants through their posters. The organising team included Dr. Deepak Pathania, Head Department of Environmental sciences, Dr Anu Sharma, faculty, Environmental sciences and Dr. Jagmeet Kour, Dr. Sarabjeet Kour Sudan, Prof. Fayza, Prof. Rishu Mahajan, members of Eco Club. |
