JMC passes resolution seeks 50 percent reservation in private sector jobs for locals | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 14: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has passed a resolution seeking 50 percent reservation in private sector jobs for locals and domiciles of Jammu and Kashmir. In its general house meeting a resolution in this regard was passed with support of all the members present in the meeting. The resolution seeking 50 percent job was presented in the house by Narotam Sharma, BJP Councilor of JMC ward 3. The resolution presented by the Councilor reads as “As we all members of this house would agree that today besides other major issues, the main problem that we all members of JMC come across being elected representatives of the people is ‘Unemployment’ And we all also would agree that with rising population and limited resources it is not possible for any government to provide government jobs to everyone but yes it is admitted that it is the responsibility of the government to provide employment to its people. As on date, several Industrial units including Public Private Partnership firms are working in Jammu and Kashmir, these industrial units have been provided land and other benefits in the form of subsidies, contracts’ works of developments worth crores of rupees have been allotted to different business establishments out of which many belong to other parts of the country and even some Multi National Companies” |
