POWERGRID to provide one MRI machine in Himachal Pradesh

JAMMU, Dec 14: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) signed MoU with Governor Himachal Pradesh through Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Kangra, Himachal Pradesh for providing one 1.5 Tesla MRI machine in Kangra under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The MoU was signed in presence of Vipin Singh Parmar, Speaker Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly, Rajiv Saizal, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Himacahl Pradesh, Rajinder Garg, Minister for food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, Himachal Pradesh, Shanta Kumar, former Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, V K Singh, Director (Personnel)-POWERGRID, T C Sarmah, Executive Director (CSR),POWERGRID, Kailash Rathore, Executive Director, POWERGRID, Northern Region-II and other senior officials from Himachal Pradesh government and POWERGRID.
The MoU was signed by Dev Kumar, Senior General Manager (HP) on behalf of POWERGRID and Dr. Gurdarshan Gupta, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Kangra on behalf of Governor, Himachal Pradesh. POWERGRID has been extending support to various infrastructure activities of Himachal Pradesh through its CSR initiatives.
Earlier one truck mounted sewer jetting machine, one litter picking machine, one truck mounted sweeping machine with vacuum cleaner and one truck mounted compactor was handed over to Municipal Corporation, Shimla costing Rs 1.98 cr. Further one SPV mounted vacuum assisted road sweeper, two sewer cleaning jetting machines costing Rs 1.31 crore had been handed over to Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Manali, District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, 3250 solar LED street lights and 13000 twin bins dustbins costing Rs 11.49 crore, have been supplied and installed in various parts of Himachal Pradesh.
