| Aam Aadmi Party leader Rajesh Gupta demands regularization of daily wagers | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 4: J&K unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held workers meet here today at Janipur under the chairmanship of Rajesh Gupta, vice president AAP for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency. Gupta in his speech assured all the daily wagers of Jammu and Kashmir that if Aam Aadmi Party comes to power it will regularize all the daily wagers of J&K UT and till then we will fight for their rights. AAP leader urged to J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to consider the issue of daily wagers on humanitarian ground and regularize all the daily wagers, contractual workers, ITI trained in one go so that their long pending sufferings could be ended. "These workers are the backbone of the departments but despite that they have not been regularized from the last many decades," he said.
Gupta slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party for "creating hysteria over discrimination for nearly six decades". Asserting that the BJP Government in J&K proved disastrous and ominous in every aspect, Gupta said that amid the administrative disarray, the BJP was only indulging in flip flops and opportunist politics. The AAP leader said that the BJP has failed to take any cognizance on the coveted projects which had been gathering dust for last seven years. Senior leaders including Darshan Kumar, Veerji Kachroo, Joginder Singh Chib DySP (Retd) Azaj Ahmed and others also addressed the meeting. |
