Jammu, Jan 4: Senior vice president of Awami National Conference (ANC) Muzaffar Shah on Tuesday asserted that the popular government in J&K would bulldoze the shopping mall to be constructed by Dubai based Emaar Properties in Srinagar.
“The democratically elected government of Jammu and Kashmir will dismantle the shopping mall”, Shah told The Early Times.
As per reports Dubai based Emaar Properties will develop a shopping mall in Srinagar, as part of an agreement between the governments of Dubai, and Jammu and Kashmir, to facilitate investments into projects.
Earlier on Monday ANC leader has announced that the MoUs, signed by the present regime with private investors would be cancelled by the next government.
Talking to a news channel, Shah said, “Non-local corporate houses that are signing Memorandums of Understanding with the J & K government should be careful as whosoever comes into power next will cancel these 39 MOUs and land allotments.”
He said, “No one can take J&K’s land as it’s unconstitutional”. |
