Punjab Govt announces sops for home makers, J&K admin shows door to women bread earners | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 4: Cricketer turned Congress leader from Punjab Navjot Singh Sidhu has come to the relief of home makers in Punjab by announcing that such women would get Rs. 2,000 per month if the Congress party retains power after the upcoming assembly elections. On the other side, the Jammu & Kashmir administration has shown door to the youth engaged under Emergency Covid Response Plan (ECRP) by National Health Mission (NHM). The youth including women discharged their services in able, honest and professional manner during COVID-19 pandemic, but still then the admin issued termination order with respect to their services. The protesters including women along with their children could be seen protesting on the roads of Jammu while braving inclement weather. However, the protest from even the toddlers has failed to move the black hearted administration of Jammu & Kashmir. Had it not been the case the administration had revoked the termination order of COVID-19 warriors. The Punjab government has embarked upon a plan to provide succor to the home makers but the Jammu & Kashmir administration is hell bent to snatch the livelihood of the women who are the bread earners for their respective families. Maybe, an intervention from union health ministry would save the future of these people otherwise they would be forced to feel the heat. |
