Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 20: President Beopar Mandal and District General Secretary Congress, Gurmeet Singh lamented the dilapidated condition of the urinals and bathrooms at Rani Park area of Ward No 10. Gurmeet Singh said that the public toilets and bathrooms were constructed by the Jammu Municipal Corporation but due to poor maintenance they are in a worst condition which requires immediate attention. Approximately 150 people including gents, ladies and children are residing in this area. They are feeling uncomfortable while going to urinals and for taking bath in the bathrooms especially the ladies as doors are old and almost broken, said Singh. The poor condition of the bathrooms and urinals has been brought to the notice of Municipal authorities and local BJP leaders on several occasions but no attention has been paid in this regard, he informed. Since the Municipal Commissioner is herself a woman as such it is humbly requested that immediate action be taken to construct latest type of urinals and bathrooms so that the people residing feel comfortable, he said. Gurmeet Singh urged the LG to issue instructions to the concerned department to look into the matter in the interest of public and to save the lives of the residents residing nearby.
