JKSSB mismanages CBT, after chaos cancels exam | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 20: The Computer Based Test (CBT) exam conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Selection Service Selection Board (JKSSB) ran into rough weather on Thursday as the aspirants at an examination Centre here accused authorities of treating them like cattle and without taking care of Covid appropriate behavior. Aspirants while talking to the media said, “We were stuffed in one hall without any social distancing or scanning. There were no proper arrangements for us to appear for the exams. We don’t know how many of us would have caught Covid.” They said, “The tall claims of JKSSB that all the Covid norms will be followed in letter and spirit have proven to be a hoax. They have put our lives at stake by making us assemble at one place in such huge numbers.” Aspirants said, “By conducting exams in peak Covid wave JKSSB is playing with our lives. These exams should be cancelled till the ongoing Covid wave settles down.” After these students assembled at the Centre they were told that the exams have been rescheduled and new dates will be announced later. “We have come from far-flung areas like Rajouri, Poonch etc and we have to pay Rs 1000 as hotel rent. We have been staying here for the past three to four days. The JKSSB and the government have messed up these exams,” they added. |
