Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 20: President of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI), Arun Gupta, on Thursday asked the J&K Government to sign a Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with local youth also so that they are assured the administration is standing with them. Talking to Early Times Gupta said, “The government is busy signing MoUs with outsiders and in the process locals have been ignored. If the administration can sign MoUs with outsiders why can’t it do the same with the local youth? The government can revive the sick units by encouraging the youth to restart them.” He said, “The government instead of getting carried away by investments from outside should leave some space for the natives also. It cannot leave natives in > Admin has no policy for natives > Officers need to restrict themselves in Covid times
lurch.” He expressed dismay over the fact that the government has got nothing to offer to the J&K youth and “their future looks bleak.” “The administration needs to clear the air on what it's thinking about the youth and their empowerment.” Asked about the government’s announcement to welcome the outside investors with a red carpet and single window clearance system, Gupta said, “There is no harm in welcoming the outsiders but the locals need to be given their due share.” Gupta advised the government departments to show some concern towards the people in the Covid times and allow them to live in peace. “The officials can wait for implementing the laws as at present people are struggling to survive. They need to restrict themselves,” he added. |
