Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 30: District General Secretary Congress and President Beopar Mandal, Gurmeet Singh along with other party leaders visited old city's Mohalla Partapgarh near Mandir and Peer Baba. The team visited the area after it was informed by the locals that there is no cleanness in the area for the last more than 25 days which could lead to spread COVID-19 virus. Speaking on the occasion, Gurmeet Singh said that since it is the responsibility of the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to look after the cleanness of the area with the help of the concerned Supervisor appointed by the JMC but no action is being taken for the last more than 25 days either by the higher officials of the JMC or the concerned Supervisor for cleanness of the area. Singh demanded that if the Supervisor doesn't do his duty properly he must be fined Rs 25000 for negligence. He requested the LG to issue strict instructions to the concerned department in the interest of live of the general public.
