| GDC Kathua observes Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Jan 30: On the 74th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, NSS units of GDC Kathua in collaboration with Department of History of the college today organized a symposium and a slogan writing competition in virtual mode.
More than thirty volunteers took part in the slogan writing competition. Shallu Jangral's slogan poster declared first while slogan poster of Sakshi Bhou was declared as second in the competition. Third prize was shared by the posters of Khushi Jasrotia and Abhi Kumar. The other participants were acknowledged with participation certificates. Event was judged by Prof Kailash, Head of Mathematics Department and Prof Rajneesh Sharma, HOD Political Science. This programme was organized under Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary is observed as Martyr's Day every year. The day is observed to honour and remember Mahatama Gandhi's indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation.
The event was organized under the patronage of Incharge Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma and supervision of NSS Programme Officer Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu Kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral. |
