JAMMU, Jan 30: One person was killed and three others suffered injuries when shooting stones hit a tempo traveller on Sunday afternoon in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.
"One tempo traveler on way from Srinagar to Jammu ferrying passengers, when reached near Cafeteria Morh Mehar, was suddenly hit by shooting stones from top of the mountain," Mohita Sharma, Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramban, said.
She said four persons suffered injuries in the mishap and one of them succumbed at District Hospital Ramban.
The deceased was identified as Yashvardan,23, son of Sanjay Singh, resident of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile the injured persons namely Vivek Thakur,25, son of Mukesh Singh Thakur, Sanjay Thakur, 50 and Vanesh,20, son of Sanjesh, all residents of Jabalpur, MP have been evacuated and hospitalised at District Hospital from where on of the injured was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. |
