‘Relief case couldn’t be processed as Kacha house doesn’t fall under National Calamity Relief Act’ | Pouni administration larifies | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 30: Tehsil Administration Pouni has clarified a news report published in Early Times under the headline “Administrative Apathy leaves poor family to spend night under open Sky.” It was mentioned in the report that the house of Deepak Kumar S/o Ram Krishan R/o Sudeen Tehsil Pouni of district Reasi was razed down and the family was forced to spend night under open Sky. Clarifying the incident, the Office of Tehsildar Pouni said that on January 10, 2022, a Kacha house of Deepak Kumar S/o Ram Krishan R/o Sudheen collapsed due to heavy rain and Patwari halqa immediately visited the spot & same was reported to higher authorities for necessary action. Patwari Halqa submitted the report along with concerned Ward Panch and village Chowikar mentioning that Deepak Kumar has one more Kacha room with kitchen. But the local administration accommodated Deepak in local Administration in nearby government Building Sudheen on the same day. However, his relief case under SDRF Rule couldn’t be processed as the collapse of the Kacha House does not fall under the category of National Calamity Relief Act . “Hence, the news published in Early Times Newspaper on 27th January 2022 is refuted” the office stated. |
