Government leaves JKRTC employees in lurch | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 3: Both the serving and superannuated employees of Jammu & Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) today carried out a protest demonstration in support of their demands and said that in case the file relating to their demands is not sent to Civil Secretariat by Monday then they will be forced to hold protest on February 8 (Tuesday). Scores of protesters said that their file relating to payment of cola arrears, DA arrears and sixth pay commission arrears has not been sent to the administrative department of Ministry of Transport by the JKRTC management. The protesters said that the government has decided in principle that they will be paying the arrears and the file should be send to the administrative department. The protesters said that the JKRTC management has not sent the file to the concerned administrative department adding that they are giving two days ultimatum to the management. The protesters said that the retirement benefits have not been given to the employees even though they have retired years back. |
