| PMAY yet to reach Lamberi village | | |

Rajouri (Lamberi), Feb 3: Housing for all scheme i.e. Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana (PMAY) is yet to reach this frontier village.
Shaheena Akther, while talking to a news channel said, “We were told that we will be given financial assistance to construct a house. But it seems that money has not come. We live in one room and cook our food in an open air kitchen.”
Akther’s family has not been even provided with a gas cylinder and a gas stove under Ujwala scheme. “No benefit of any centrally sponsored scheme has reached us,” Akther added.
She said, “We appeal to the government to provide us with the financial aid so that we are able to construct a small house to save ourselves from weather vagaries.” |
