| 2 drug peddlers held, contraband seized in JK | | |

SRINAGAR, Feb 7: Two drug peddlers were arrested in Ganderbal and contraband was seized from their possession, police said on Monday.
As per Shadipora Police, a suspicious person identified as Bashir Ahmad Malla of Tul-Mohalla Shalabugh was held at Paribal Chundina Road and two kilograms of cannabis powder was seized from his possession.
In another incident, police party from Nagbal at a checkpoint at Buserbugh intercepted a vehicle driven by one Irshad Ahmad Khan, a resident of Asham Safapora and recovered 60 grams of Charas from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered and further investigation was underway, police added. |
