Students, victims of J&K admin’s indecisiveness | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 7: Despite Covid-19 cases witnessing a decline in Jammu and Kashmir, the administration in the Union Territory seems indecisive about reopening the schools. An observer while talking to Early Times said, “The schools have reopened for the classes from 9th to 12th in seven states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha and Bihar. These states are also mulling to reopen schools from Nursery to 8th from the next week.” He said, “The governments in other states and union territories have expedited the vaccination process among children and have realized that children can’t be kept away from schools anymore.” “The J&K administration on Sunday decided to lift the weekend lockdown and decided that the coaching centers will be allowed to function with 50% strength but it didn’t take any decision about the schools. The J&K administration being indecisive could lead to more time of students getting wasted.” |
