| Gdc Kathua remembers Sachinder Nath Sanyal | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 7: Under the patronage of Incharge Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma, NSS Units Gdc Kathua remember Sachinder Nath Sanyal on his 80th death anniversary .
In this connection, An Essay Writing and a poster making competition was organised on virtual mode to pay rich tribute to the revolutionary leader.Volunteers participated in the both competition very enthusiastically.
Volunteers in the essay writing competition threw light on the life and role of Sachinder Nath Sanyal in the Indian Freedom struggle movement and the poster making Competition volunteers prepared posters and sketches of Sachinder Nath Sanyal.
In the words of the volunteers which they expressed in the essay writing competition, he was the founder of the Hindustan Republican Association also known as Hindustan Socialist Republican Association.This organisation was created to carry out armed resistance against the British empire in India.
Sachinder Nath Sanyal was a mentor for revolutionaries like Chander Shekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh. He along with Rash Behari Bose attacked Viceroy Hardinge and injured him while he was entering New Delhi. He was closely involved in the plans for Ghadar conspiracy. He was sentenced to life for his involvement in the conspiracy and was imprisoned at cellular jail.
He was also jailed by the British for his involvement in Kakori Conspiracy. He got martyrdom in Gorakhpur jail on 7th February 1942.
In the poster making category ,Miss Khushi Jasrotia, Miss Mehak Gupta and Mr Nitish Pansotra’s Poster declared first , Second and third. In the essay writing competion, Miss Muskan Sharma, Bharti Rajput and Kashish pathania stood first second and third.Participated volunteers in both categories acknowledged with participation certificate.
The event was organised under the supervision of NSS Prog officers Prof Manmohan Singh, Prof Ritu kumar Sharma and Prof Neha Bandral . |
