| Pulwama drivers wait for payment of services offered in DDC polls | | |

SRINAGAR, Feb 16: Around three dozen drivers of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district are waiting for the release of payment that is pending since the culmination of District Development Council (DDC) elections held years back.
A group of such drivers said that 34 drivers who had offered their vehicles during the DDC elections in Pulwama are yet to receive their payment. They said that repeated requests with the concerned authorities have failed to yield results and they continue to wait for their payment. The drivers have urged the LG Manoj Sinha to direct the concerned authorities to release the payment so that there is an end to their daily mental agony.
