| Shankaracharya temple: Washrooms remain locked, devotees face problems | | |

srinagar, Feb 16: Two washrooms at famous Shankaracharya temple here remain closed putting devotees in trouble.
The temple at the top of the hill is thronged by devotees, including men and women, everyday but the washrooms meant for them are under lock. "The devotees who come to pay obeisance at the famous temple are put in a difficult situation due to washrooms not being accessible to them. It's strange that the people managing the temple don't realize that it's situated on top of the hill and there are no public conveniences around," said a visitor.
He said that the administration needs to take note of it and get these public conveniences opened without any delay. "If these toilets have to be kept under lock then a new facility should be built. Devotees, especially women, are facing a lot of problems," he added. |
