Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 7: Apni Party Provincial Secretary Dr Rohit Gupta today said that Jammu Municipal Corporation should adopt a holistic approach with regard to the developmental activities in Jammu West Assembly constituency. Addressing a joining programme at ward number 33 in Shiv Nagar in Jammu West Assembly, Dr Rohit Gupta said that people have claimed that the basic amenities have not been provided in the said ward and many other wards of the assembly constituency by the JMC. He said that "The wards have no proper drainage system, cleanliness and garbage collection. The people are put to suffer for no reason." He said that the Corporators elected by the people for the development of their wards have not been able to work accordingly because of poor release of funds in favour of these Corporators. "The JMC which receives funds in crores from the Govt has kept the wards away from development citing shortage of funds. Hence, the claims of smart city projects are still a distant dream," he added. He said that "The people have complaints of poor sanitation, unscheduled power cuts, improper drinking water supply and garbage collection." Meanwhile, he welcomed the people who joined the Apni Party and hoped that their joining would strengthen the Party. Prominent among those include Rattan Lal Sharma, Gardari Lal Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Jogdesh Raj, Tayan Singh, Rajat Singh, Akash Gupta, Shagun Sharma, Ankush Khajuria, Pariduman Sharma, Kewal Singh, Rajinder Singh, Surjeet Singh, Parnav Sharma, Kanav Sharma, Beena Devi, Dwarka Khajuria, Dushyant Kumar and others.
