| J&K Police arrests drug peddler | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Mar 7: J&K Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler in Sopore township and recovered banned drugs from him.
Police on a tip off , established a Naka at Bijbal crossing in Sopre township of north Kashmir's Baramulla district and intercepted a suspected vehicle.
The driver tried to flee after noticing police but the alert police party caught him tactfully. On search of the vehicle 1560 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon plus were recovered from the possession of the accused, Police said.
The accused has been identified as Jamsheed Ahmad alias Bat Bakra, a resident of Achabal Sopore who was arrested.
A case under section of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act stands registered in Police station Sopore and further investigation into the matter has been taken up. |
