Even after 75-years of independence, Ramban villages have no bridge | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Mar 20: Residents of Labloth, Dangam and Khoda in Khari tehsil are up in arms against the government for its failure to construct a bridge to connect these villages with the main land. Residents have to cross the stream by using wooden logs and it’s quite risky. School children fear for their lives while crossing the stream. “We have to wait for elders to help us to cross the nallah,” said a young girl. Another resident said, “It’s unfortunate that even 75-years after the independence we don’t have a bridge. When it rains we get disconnected from the tehsil headquarters for days together. Neither the former political regimes nor the present LG led administration seems bothered about us. We are not even considered as human beings.” |
