No word on withdrawn posts till date, aspirants in a fix | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 20: The job aspirants whose posts were withdrawn by the government in February this year are in a fix. Till date neither the withdrawn posts have been re-advertised nor there has been any official word on the posts for which the selections had been finalized. Sources told Early Times that in the recent meeting of the Administrative Council a decision has been taken to uphold the selections that were completed by the recruitment agencies. “But till date no official communiqué or an order has been issued in this regard.” They said, “There is every possibility about 200 candidates whose selections were finalized being appointed, while other posts will be re-advertised.” An aspirant said, “Many of us have decided to approach the Central Appellate Tribunal (CAT) to challenge the government order about withdrawing the posts. If we don’t get justice there, we will move the High Court to seek relief.” It’s in place to mention here that the Jammu & Kashmir Government had withdrawn all the posts referred to the Public Service Commission (PSC) and Services Selection Board (SSB) before October 31, 2019, for which selections had not been finalized. The General Administration Department in a communiqué had informed the PSC and SSB that the Administrative Council has withdrawn all the posts referred to PSC and SSB before 31. 10. 2019 for which selections were not made till February 3, 2022. “All posts referred to JKPSC/SSB prior to 31.10.2019, for which selections have not been finalized till date, as also the posts in which there are litigations and the cases are pending in Hon’ble court shall be deemed to have been withdrawn with immediate effect ,” read the decision of the Administrative Council. |
