Garbage filled canals mock at admin’s claim of Jammu being a smart city | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 20: The Jammu & Kashmir administration is busy in claiming that Jammu is a smart city and the infrastructure matches with the best cities in the country; however on ground the things are totally different. Many of the irrigation canals in the winter capital of Jammu & Kashmir are in dilapidated condition with the garbage being dumped in these canals. The residents of the areas where these canals are located are in stress saying that despite contacting the people no action has been taken so far. The residents and the shopkeepers have urged the LG administration to take proactive measures so that the irrigation canals are freed from the garbage and their glory is restored. They said that once this is done then only Jammu can become a smart city in true and real sense. |
