J&K: Cop injured in hit & run case, dies in hospital | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 20: A J&K Police personnel who was injured in a hit-and-run case in Handwara succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here on Sunday, officials said. The cop identified as Khurshid Ahmad Malik, a resident of Hangah Mawer who was hit by an unknown vehicle at Kralgund area in frontier Kashmir district of Kupwara on March 18 was critically wounded in the incident. He was admitted to Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital in Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries this morning. A case in this matter has already been registered and police are looking for the vehicle that hit Malik and escaped from the scene. Meanwhile, a casual laborer of Power Development Department (PDD) identified as Waseem Ahmad Mir of Kunzar who was critically wounded while repairing a HT wire at Batpora in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district also succumbed to his injuries at the SMHS hospital. |
