SRINAGAR, Mar 22: Panic gripped the Fateh Kadal area in down town Srinagar when a two storied house collapsed on Tuesday, officials said. A dilapidated house collapsed at Fateh Kadal, near Lal Masjid, in District Srinagar this morning causing panic among the residents of the area, Fire and Emergency Services said. Teams from J&K State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), Fire & Emergency Services, Civil Defence, Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Roads and Buildings (R&B) were pressed into service to look for survivors trapped under the debris. However, no one was injured as the house had been abandoned long ago, they added. |
