Implement 7th pay commission recommendations or face stir: J&KFDC employees | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 22: Spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Forest Development Corporation Suresh Sharma on Tuesday expressed dismay over employees of the corporation not getting the benefits of seventh pay commission. Talking to a local news channel said that employees are working on meager salaries. “We are not paid salaries at par with other employees.” He said, “When we were the employees of the J&K State Forest Corporation we used to get a hike but after J&K’s transition into a Union Territory we are not being treated at par with others.” Sharma said, “We generate revenue for the government despite that we are not getting DA and the salaries. At present whatever revenue we generate we deposit it in the kitty of the government. It’s unfortunate that for the past three years no DPC has taken place we are not getting promotions.” He said, “We don’t want to go on a strike but the government is forcing us to hit the streets. I request the government to understand our pain, increase our DA and implement the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.” Sharma said that after the transition of Jammu and Kashmir Forest State Corporation into JKFDC, the SRO-43 cases have been shelved. |
