SKPA conducts three days training programme regarding challenges of drone threats | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Mar 29: Taking into account emerging challenges of drone threats, Sher-I-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) Udhampur is conducting three days training programme for police officers of J&K. For the first time such course is being introduced and run by the Academy. Apart from this three days course on "Cyber forensics" for prosecutors under CCPWC scheme sponsored by MHA New Delhi GoI also commenced at the academy today. On the inaugural function Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, Deputy Inspector General of Police Udhampur-Reasi range was the chief guest. Mohan Lal, SSP, Deputy Director (Indoor/Training) welcomed the chief guest on behalf of the Director SKPA. He briefed the audience about the agenda of the courses and informed that faculty from the renowned institutions of national as well as international level have been arranged in consultation with the SoECE department of SMVDU Katra. Choudhary stressed upon the participating officers that Unmanned Ariel Vehicle (UAVs) are among the major growing challenges of present time. He underlined the uses of UAVs in law enforcement vis-a-vis maintenance of security at IB and LOC besides uses in day to day challenges for the law enforcement agencies. He lauded the efforts of the academy administrations for taking initiative in organizing such courses. |
