Srinagar, Mar 29: Female Anganwadi workers stage a massive protest at Lal Chowk here on Tuesday against the government ignoring their genuine demands. The Anganwadi workers have staged many protests during the past few months demanding same and equal salaries like Aganwadi workers in other states across the country. “On, one hand the government raises the slogan of beti-bachao, beti-padao, while on the other it’s disempowering us by not treating us at par with the other Anganwadi workers across the country. Betis (daughters) are being forced to stage protests on streets to seek their rights,” they said. |
