Worries ahead for BJP as Kejriwal’s team reaches Jammu to fill ‘defunct’ Cong’s space | • AAP to encash peoples’ resentment against BJP due to ‘misdeeds’ of LG’s administration | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29: Taking advantage of the virtually defunct faction-ridden Congress party in Jammu province, the convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has deputed a team to rope in some prominent political faces to give a tough fight to BJP by filling the political vacuum. Highly placed sources said that for the last one week, the AAP team deputed by Arvind Kejriwal has approached some prominent pollical faces of Jammu province to convince them to join the party. “Not only opposition leaders even some top BJP leaders who have lost hope of getting party mandates in coming assembly elections met with visiting team”, sources said and revealed that like Punjab AAP has hired a private company to conduct a survey in the Jammu province to gauge peoples’ mood. Sources said that during the survey conducted by the AAP at Jammu one thing has emerged that due to the prevailing governance deficit and anarchy in the system, there is strong anger against BJP in Jammu province. “Although administration of the Lieutenant Governor is not giving any importance to local BJP leaders, barring two or three, there is a widespread feeling among people of Jammu that the present government is working on the directions of BJP”, sources said and added that it was all due outcome of this survey that AAP leadership is seriously focussing on Jammu province. The politically astute leadership of AAP has arrived at the conclusion that the failure of Congress leadership to encash peoples’ anger against the BJP is the best-suited turf for the party in Jammu province. Secondly, the results of the Punjab assembly elections also have an impact on the minds of the voters of Jammu who want to teach a lesson to the BJP for the misdeeds and anti-people policies of the LG administration. |
