Solar energy fails to take off in Jammu & Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 3: The union territory of Jammu & Kashmir is lagging behind in the solar energy despite the fact that the same would have led to less dependence on thermal energy and hydropower energy. The Ministry of Renewable Energy has been laying emphasis on solar energy so that the same could be put to use for both the domestic and commercial purposes. Although, the solar energy has been introduced by many government departments in Jammu & Kashmir still then a lot needs to be done in this regard. Time has come when the administration should embark upon a mission so that solar energy is given a fillip and the same is taken up seriously as an alternative means of energy. The concerned department and the agencies should pull up their socks so that the people as a whole heave a sigh of relief. |
