JAMMU, Apr 20: Indian Army on Wednesday organized a Grievance Redressal Meet to honour the Ex-servicemen, Army Widows and Veer Naris at Arnora in Doda District of Jammu and Kashmir.
An official communiqué said that a total of 111 persons including ESM, Army Widows and Veer Naris attended the event wherein they shared grievances which were noted for redressal subsequently.
Major General Ajay Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) addressed the meet.
During an interaction, they were educated and apprised about various welfare and financial schemes launched by Indian Armed Forces, J&K Government, Central Government.
Moreover, they were educated about functioning of ESM Help Line, ECHS and Pensioner benefits including post retirement schemes.
A medical camp was also organized during the meet in which a number of specialist doctors from the army gave out medical care to the needy. |
