Early Times Report

POONCH, Apr 20: Although the union government and Lieutenant Governor led Jammu and Kashmir government has assured people to provide good governance, but this good governance is nowhere seen in District Poonch.
As government has launched a portal “LG grievance cell” to redress the grievances of common masses Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir UT before LG administration but this portal is looking only at the masses of transmission in Poonch as none of the complaints has been redressed by Poonch administration properly till date.
Locals allege the concerned officer without lying complaints which are anonymous summons the masses and the same is a gross violation of the Supreme Court ruling as well as the GAD circular. Once the complaint is forwarded by a nodal officer to the concerned department firstly they have to file the factual report whether the complainant is authentic or not. But the irony is some people and officials lodge some fake complaints against those who ask questions and try to highlight issues of public importance.
Many social and political activists informed Early Times that they have lodged various complaints before LG administration through this grievances cell but the Poonch administration without consulting complainants dispose their complaints off in favour of departments, who are hand in glove involved in nexus of any type.
The locals have appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to constitute a commission of enquiry to investigate all the grievances which have been disposed off by the Poonch administration and take stern action against these negligent officers who harass general masses for their benefits.
