| Mayor JMC inaugurates garbage transfer station at Keran Bantalab | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 25: Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu along with Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor today inaugurated garbage transfer station at Keran Bantalab in ward 63.
The Mayor told that all the councillors of JMC is committed to provide best possible amenities to the citizens of Jammu for the last more than three years and number of steps have been taken in this behalf to make Jammu a neat clean, green & garbage free city. He said that this garbage transfer station has been constructed with an estimate amount of Rs 26.00 lacs where garbage from ward 63 & other adjoining wards will be brought at this site by means of autos where compactors have been installed and when the compactors get filled with garbage, it will be get empty with the help of vehicles/cranes for further disposal of remained garbage to the Kot Bhalwal site.
The Mayor along with other dignitaries also kick started the work of black topping at the various roads and bylanes of lower Thather with an allotted amount of Rs 32.00 only which was also the long pending demands of the locals as the area has been got deteriorated & the passersby were facing great hardships. |
