Unwanted power cuts irks consumers in Jammu | Locals urges to expedite the ongoing work on Ranbir Canal, Jammu | | Rajesh Tandon

Jammu, Apr 25: Fierce hot in month of April in Jammu district has put the locals in troubles. Unwonted power cut and shortage of water in this hot season irked the consumers in large and locals in Jammu town has no option to take water to drink and bath. According to the sources, "Ranbir Canal was only the sources of water supply for people during these types of hot seasons, which is also non functional this year". Locals from Jammu town have expressed their anguish over this emergency type situations in Jammu. A citizen speaking into this regard has said that in his life he has first time felt this type of fierce hot season in the month of April in Jammu and administration has no arrangements for public. Another old man in this regard has said that the people in Jammu week even used this Ranbir Canal for bath in hot seasons, but the canal is non functional this year, which is big problem for general public as there is no proper supply and water supply in town. They have appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to intervene the matter and direct concern departments especially Power Development Department to provide proper power supply to consumers and Irrigation and Flood Control Department to expedite the ongoing work on Ranbir Canal in Jammu at earliest. |
