JAMMU, Apr 25: There seems to be no end to power cuts in Jammu region, as the curtailment has become a norm. To fill in the demand supply gap, the Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) is snapping electricity either by announcing a shutdown or by simply switching off the power. There are reports that JPDCL is facing a shortage of 600 Megawatts and in order to overcome the deficit electricity is being snapped for hours together. On Monday Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL, Jammu informed that the power supply to Bishnah, Seora, Sarore, Sunderpur, Satraiyan, Chakroi and adjoining areas shall remain affected on April 26 from 8 am to 12 noon. Similarly, the power supply to Ransoo, Shivkhori and Sangar shall remain affected on April 26 from 9 am to 2 pm. Likewise, the power supply to Floura, M/C Domana Machallian, Patoli, Shiv Nagar, Subash Nagar, Govt Quarter Sarwal, Shanti Nagar, Paloura and adjoining areas shall remain affected on April 26 from 7 am to 11 am. |
