Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Apr 7: In a significant breakthrough, the District Police Udhampur arrested a long-time absconder wanted in a 14-year-old bovine smuggling case. The arrest was made by a dedicated team from Police Station Kud, continuing the district police's crackdown on absconders and criminals. The accused, Hasan Din, son of Sain Din, resident of Palli, Tehsil Hiranagar, Kathua, had been evading arrest since 2011 in connection with FIR No. 04/2011 under sections 188 IPC and 3 of the PCA Act registered at Police Station Kud. A warrant under Section 512 CrPC was issued by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC), Chenani, for his arrest. Acting on specific inputs, the police successfully tracked and apprehended the absconder. The accused was produced before the concerned court, and the long-pending warrant under Section 512 CrPC was executed. This arrest marks a continued commitment by Udhampur Police to bring fugitives of law to justice. |
