AHD, police fail to prevent encroaching on 'sheep farm land' 8/9/2016 10:52:24 PM MS Nazki Early Times Report Mendhar, Aug 9: Animal Husbandry Department and local police have utterly failed to put a check upon the encroachers who were hell bent to grab the land of sheep farm situated at Balnoi in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch district. According to reports, the locals residing in surrounding areas of sheep farm Balnoi spread on an area of 2800 kanal of land have been encroaching it all sides but the administration and police have failed to prevent them from encroaching the land. Meanwhile official sources alleged that the Revenue Department too has a lackadaisical approach towards the encroachers as being well aware of the situation the concerned Patwari and Naib Tehsildar have turned deaf ears towards the complaint lodged by one official from the concerning department. "All J&K Sheep and Wool Workers Association Poonch president Mohd Rafiq Malik too has urged the district administration and concerned minister to take the cognizance of matter and expedite concrete and preventive measures to stop the encroachers to grab the sheep farm land," the sources added.
