Sources said that Union and state government though can make tall claims of development in entire state and to brought new beginning for its citizens but to its sharp contrast their claims may fall flat and deflated as people of a particular area are continually crying for basic facilities in district Kathua.
People of a village namely Nagyal, Panchayat Hariachak which houses the families who had migrated from Chamb Sector still are dependent upon traditional water resources and hand pumps which provide water containing Urea. "Due to use of contaminated water a large number of people and live stock are being gripped under several water borne diseases, sources added.

He also informed that water level of Hand-pump water is not more than 15 feet resulting urea gets mixed in water making people prone to Allergy, Skin diseases, throat and joint pains.
Taranjit Singh another villager informed that minors affected the most due to presence of Urea in excess quantity. He said people called on concerned authority and District Administration many times but concrete step has been initiated to mitigate the suffering of people.
People of area have appealed District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kathua to take sample from village and verify the sufferings besides step to provide PHE supply in the village.
When contacted XEn PHE Sumit Puri assured to provide PHE supply subject to availability of funds and also passed instruction to local PHE staff and directed to manage water supply till providing permanent water supply.
