Four gamblers held with stake money of Rs 11780/-

JAMMU, Aug 9: Police today claimed to have arrested four gamblers alongwith stake money upto Rs 11780/- and playing cards which were recovered from their possession during a raid in a locality under jurisdiction of Police Station Nagrota. A case stands registered in this regard.
"The gamblers have been identified as Vijay Kumar of Bakshi Nagar, Tej Krishan of Lane No. 16 Mini Township Jagti, Ashu Bhat of Lane No. 10 Mini Township Jagti, and Karnail Singh of Lane No. 18 Mini Township Jagti, police spokesperson said.
"On specific input that some person are gambling playing today in Jagti Mini Bus Stand, police team conducted a raid at Matador (Mini Bus) Stand and arrested four gamblers red handed while gambling and recovered Rs 11780/- stake money and playing cards from their possession.
Police has produced the gamblers in the court of law under 13 Gambling Act.
