| Mischievous elements fomenting trouble | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Aug 13: After aggravating up the situation in Poonch city, mischievous elements have now started fomenting trouble outside the city starting from village Kanuiyaan where they posted ISIS posters in the village's Shiv Temple.
A plastic tarpaulin in the temple was burnt down, a move that sent shivers across Poonch further escalating tension in the area.
On finding out about this, the District head of Sanatan Dharam Sabha from Poonch town, Satish Sasan led a group of people and met SSP Poonch Jatinder Singh Johar. SSP Johar assured an investigation into the matter.
Early morning at 5 am on Friday, the devotees had started visiting the temple to offer prayers when they saw that the tarpaulin outside the temple had been burned down by someone. Further inside the temple an ISIS poster was pasted on the temple's wall issuing threats to leave Kashmir or face death.
SHO Poonch, Jatinder Raina was called and informed about the situation at the temple. Raina took the poster in his possession. cPolice have begun an investigation into the matter. |
