Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 13: The Tiranga Yatra, being taken by the BJP leaders in different areas, is receiving cold response from common masses in Jammu region because people are not satisfied with the steps so far taken by the coalition government to ensure respect of National Flag in Kashmir Valley. The Tiranga Yatra is BJP is confined only with workers and participation of common people are negligible.
Some eye-witnesses revealed that BJP leaders, who have been taking Yatra, are facing tough questions because people are asking what action the state government has taken to stop those Kashmiri Youth who have been burning national flag at different places of the Valley.
Some eyewitnesses further said that people told BJP leaders not to confine their nationalism in Jammu and rather take it to Kashmir Valley. They said burning and disrespecting national flag is a routine affair in Kashmir but no action has been taken by the state government, in which BJP is a partner. BJP has taken Tiranga Yatra only in Jammu region but no attempt has been to take out similar Yatra in Kashmir Valley where anti-India forces are disrespecting the national flag. At several places people asked BJP leaders, why they are not taking similar Yatra in Kashmir Valley.
Credible sources in the BJP said that party leadership of also worried because common masses have maintained a distance from party's Tiranga Yatra. Feed back received by the party leaders from grass root level workers has also added woes to the leadership because even dedicated party workers have boycotted the Yatra due to policies being adopted by the state government to appease anti-national forces.
Eyewitnesses further said that common people are also asking BJP a question why students of NIT Srinagar, who belong to other parts of the country, was not allowed to hoist national flag.
