| JKEDI fails youth expectation, people suffering | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Aug 13: While the government has sponsored a lot of schemes to provide employment, most of the such schemes are given to Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneur Development Institute (JKEDI).
In Poonch district, however, the system of department is totally not satisfactory.
Employees along with officers misguide the local youth for employment. According to the sources thousands of poor unemployed youth have got training through JKEDI for different business sectors, but are waiting for the loan since long.
A young boy Vishal Bharti is an example of achievement of JKEDI, who was engaged in Jammu and Kashmir police as SPO and while connected to the authorities of JKEDI Poonch, where some tactful agents, employees and officers of the department lured him to join business through JKEDI and force him to resign job.
According to the report from different sectors of Poonch people are suffering due to unemployment as all the schemes like Self Employment Scheme (SES) of Employment Exchange has been closed by the government.
Youth suffer a lot due to unemployment and embracing suicides. Vishal Bharti is yet waiting for loan from JKEDI as he got training in November-December 2014.
Senior citizens, politicians and social organizations condemned this policy of JKEDI and appealed to state government to close such types of projects in state.
Reporter while tried to connect with the nodal officer of JKEDI Poonch, he threatened him and misbehaved him. People, especially youth demand for strong action against such employees. |
