Centre sanctions Rs 249 cr for bridge on river Chenab 8/13/2016 10:45:41 PM Jammu, Aug 13: Government of India has sanctioned Rs 249 crore for bridge on River Chenab in Akhnoor area on city outskirts here. ''An amount of Rs 249 crores has been sanctioned by the Union Government to materialize the mega project of construction of Indri Pattanto Pargwal bridge over river Chenab to serve as a link between Pargwal and Jourian, which was decades old demand of the people of the area, who had been suffering a lot in absence of a dependable mean of transport,'' BJP MP here told media persons. Meanwhile advising the opposition parties not to play politics in the name of Dalits, he said that the PM Narendra Modi has expressed grave concern over reported atrocities on this section of the society and assured that the members of this community are equal and inseparable part of the Indian society and anyone inflicting atrocities on them would be dealt with a strong hand.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
