Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 13: Jammu and Kashmir police has arrested four persons and seized a truck loaded with government cement in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said here today. They said taking advantage of prevailing situation in the Kashmir valley, where curfew, restrictions and strike paralysed slife since July 9, a day after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani and two other militants in an encounter in Anantnag, some anti social elements are indulging in criminal activities. Sources said during the normal patrolling, a police party intercepted a tipper (truck) loaded with cement. Later, on questioning of the driver, it was learnt that the government cement was being supplied to private parties. Four persons were taken into custody, they said, adding that further investigation has been taken up. |
