| Senior cop trying to foment trouble in Poonch | | |
Jammu, August 20: With two unfortunate incidents in border districts of Poonch, annual yatra of Shri Buddha Amarnath passed peacefully and credit for this goes to civil society and leaders of both the communities who have shown much maturity at crucial time. But there are some forces in the civil and police administration which are trying their best to create communal divide in the border districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
What is more shockingly some police officers are also playing dubious role on the directions of their political masters in the Kashmir Valley to create disturbance in the Poonch and Rajouri.
A senior police officer deployed in sensitive border district of Poonch is working overtime to create disturbance in the district which is known for its brotherhood and communal harmony.
Credible sources in the corridors of power said that this police officer is instigating peace loving people of Poonch to go for strike in support of the ongoing turmoil in the Valley.
Sources said that recently this police office in a private function suggested some prominent persons of Poonch district that it was their duty to come in support of separatist groups of Kashmir Valley at this time when people of Kashmir was fighting with security forces.
Shockingly this police office, who is deployed on an important position, is instigating people to go for strike but no action has been taken so far by the higher up to frustrate his designs.
Sources said that in a veiled warning to the traders of Poonch this officer told them that after opening of Mughal road they are doing trade with the their Kashmiri counter parts but at the time of crises they are not supporting Kashmiris.
Sources said that it was all due to instigating of this officer that recently strike call was given in those areas which do not have any ethnic similarities with the agitating Kashmiri. This police officer had forced shopkeepers and traders to call for strike in that area.
