Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 13 animals rescued 11/21/2016 10:02:43 PM Early Times Report Udhampur, Nov 21: In its drive against bovine smugglers, Kud police today rescued 13 bovine animals at Kud in District Udhampur and seized a Truck while bovine smugglers managed to escape by taking advantage of darkness. According to the police sources, on reliable information Police Party of Police Station Kud laid a surprise naka near Kud and intercepted one Truck bearing registration no.JK02AE-3911 on its way towards Kashmir. "On seeing police team the driver and smugglers abandoned the truck some meters ahead of police naka and escaped from the spot," police sources said POlice sources added that during the thorough search of abandoned vehicle, police team found 13 bovine animals loaded in the truck, the animals were rescued and vehicle was seized.
